Ployart/Lannér/Austad

Ployart/Lannér/Austad is a Scandinavian jazz trio that play energetic, warm and imaginative music. Oscar Ployart (piano), Olle Lannér (bass), and Magnus Austad (drums) met each other while studying in the Swedish countryside and immediately decided it would be a good idea to jam together every day. Initially they only played something reminiscent of the blues but through time they have developed a distinctive sound-amalgamation inspired by 60’s jazz, folk music, various literary giants and the surrealism of modern life.

The trio is releasing their debut album in the autumn of 2026. “ReUNIONEN” consists of 8 original compositions and one arrangement of a Duke Ellington classic and features three of Stockholm’s finest horn players as guests. Recorded in the legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm, the record is a culmination of more than 7 years of musical exploration.

Ployart/Lannér/Austad has performed at places/festivals like Oslo Jazz Festival, Glenn Miller Cafe (Stockholm) and Erlings Jazz- og Ølbar (Aarhus) with guests like Per ‘Texas’ Johansson, Emmalisa Hallander and Gijs Idema.
